Claim Notify LLC ("ClaimNotify," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website claimnotify.org and use our unclaimed property recovery services.

We collect the following personal information necessary to process your unclaimed property claims:

Information from Other Sources

We locate unclaimed property using state unclaimed-property records, and we may obtain or confirm contact information — such as mailing addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses — from public records and licensed data providers in order to notify owners of potential claims and to process claims. Text messages go only to numbers whose owners have opted in as described below; we never text a number solely because we obtained it from a records search.

How We Use Your Information

Claim Information

We use your identification information and supporting documents solely to:

• Process claims: Verify your identity and prepare, submit, and process your unclaimed property claims with state agencies
• Prevent fraud: Detect and prevent fraudulent claims and protect our systems and users
• Comply with law: Meet applicable legal, regulatory, and state record-keeping requirements, and establish or defend legal claims

We do not use your identification information or supporting documents for marketing of any kind. Your driver's license or state ID number and date of birth are treated as sensitive information under some state laws; we collect them only when you provide them to us, and use them only for the purposes above.

We use your name and mailing address to process your claims, to verify your identity, and to reach you by mail — about your claims and your account and, unless you ask us not to, about ClaimNotify services and offerings. You can opt out of marketing mail at any time by emailing contact@claimnotify.org.

Contact Information

We use your email address and phone number for:

• Claim and billing communications: Status updates, requests for documents or signatures, filing confirmations, invoices and payment requests for our fees, payment receipts, and anything else needed to process your claims or administer your account
• Marketing communications from us: News about ClaimNotify services and future offerings. These come only from us — we never let third parties market to you, and text messages include marketing only if you have separately and expressly agreed, in a written or electronic signup, to receive marketing texts

You can opt out of marketing at any time. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link that works with a single click — no login, no fee, and no information required beyond your email address — and we honor unsubscribe requests within ten business days. Unsubscribing from marketing email does not stop claim or billing email or affect how your claims are handled. Replying STOP to a text message stops all text messages from us, including claim updates — we will then reach you about your claims by email or mail.

Website Usage Data

We analyze website usage data to improve our services and keep our website secure. We also measure the performance of our own advertising — for example, whether an ad brought you to our website or led to a claim being started — and share limited event data with the advertising platforms we use for that measurement. We may also use hashed email addresses to show our own ads to you, or to audiences similar to you, on advertising platforms that may use those lists only on our behalf; we never include your phone number, identification information, or claim details in these lists. You can opt out of ad measurement and ad audiences at any time by emailing contact@claimnotify.org.

Other Uses

We may also use the information we collect to prevent fraud and abuse, secure our systems, enforce our agreements, establish or defend legal claims, develop and improve our services, and for any other purpose we describe when you provide the information or to which you consent.

Artificial Intelligence

We use AI-assisted tools to help operate our services — for example, to review documents and prepare claims — and we may use information we hold to improve those internal systems. We do not use your personal data to train AI models that are made available to the public or to other companies, and we do not permit our AI vendors to train their models on your data.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Government Agencies

We share your personal information with the state agencies and other authorities involved in processing your unclaimed property claims. This sharing is essential to our service and your recovery of unclaimed funds.

Service Providers

We share information with the vendors and service providers that help us operate. These include hosting and infrastructure providers, document generation and electronic signature services, address verification services, analytics providers, and the messaging platforms and telecommunications carriers that deliver our email and text messages.

Your mobile number is shared with the providers that need it to reach you, such as our messaging platform and the telecommunications carriers that deliver your messages. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or a sale of all or part of our business, your information may be transferred or disclosed as part of that transaction. Any successor's use of your personal information will remain subject to the commitments in the privacy policy in effect when your information was collected.

We Do Not Sell Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, for any purpose, and we have not done so. We do not rent or trade it. Information reaches advertising platforms only to measure and deliver our own advertising — the limited event data and hashed email audiences described under Website Usage Data, which the platforms may use only on our behalf and which you can opt out of at any time by emailing contact@claimnotify.org. We do not otherwise share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Other Disclosures

We may disclose your information when:

• Required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
• Necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
• Necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of ClaimNotify, our users, or others
• With your consent, or otherwise as described in this policy

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Text Messaging (SMS)

If you choose to receive them, we send text messages to the mobile number you provide.

How you opt in. There are two kinds of text messages, each with its own consent. You can opt in to claim update texts on our website or verbally when you speak with us; we keep a record of the exact wording you agreed to. We send marketing texts about ClaimNotify services and future offerings only if you separately and expressly agree in a written or electronic signup, such as checking an unticked box on our website. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of filing a claim, of using our website, of any purchase, or of receiving any service from us, and declining does not affect how your claim is handled.

What we send. Updates about your claim — status updates, reminders about documents that need your signature, confirmation when your claim is filed with the state, and payment requests and receipts if you are invoiced for our fees — and, only with your separate marketing consent, messages about ClaimNotify services and future offerings.

Frequency and cost. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

How to stop. Reply STOP (or QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE) to any message to stop all text messages from us, including claim updates; we will then reach you about your claims by email or mail. You may also revoke consent by any other reasonable method, including emailing contact@claimnotify.org. We honor opt-out requests promptly, and in all cases within ten business days. Reply HELP for help. After you opt out, we may send a single message confirming your opt-out; it will contain no marketing.

Your mobile information. We record your consent, including the date and the exact wording you agreed to, so that we can demonstrate you agreed to receive messages. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Our messaging platform processes your mobile number on our behalf solely to deliver our messages, and telecommunications carriers handle it as needed to transmit messages and operate their networks.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit using TLS
• Storage with established cloud infrastructure providers
• Access controls limiting who can view your information

Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to:

• Process your claims and maintain records as required by state agencies
• Comply with legal obligations
• Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements

We retain your information for as long as your claims are active, and afterward for as long as state record-keeping rules and other legal obligations require.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:

• Access: Confirm whether we process your personal information and access it
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your information (subject to legal obligations)
• Portability: Request a copy of your information in a portable format
• Opt out: Opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects — we do not sell personal data or profile you in that manner, and our only advertising-related data flows are the first-party measurement and first-party ad audiences described under Website Usage Data, which you can opt out of

To exercise any right, email contact@claimnotify.org. We will verify your request using the contact information and claim details we have on file, and may ask for additional confirmation; an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of your authorization. We will respond within 45 days (extendable by another 45 days where reasonably necessary; we will tell you if we extend), and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we decline your request, you may appeal by emailing contact@claimnotify.org with the subject "Privacy Appeal"; we will respond to appeals within 45 days. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state Attorney General.

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Maintain your session while completing claims
• Analyze website usage through analytics services
• Measure the performance of our own advertising
• Remember your preferences

You can control cookie settings through your browser, but disabling cookies may affect website functionality.

Do Not Track and opt-out preference signals. Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals or opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control. We currently do not respond to Do Not Track signals, and we do not yet process opt-out preference signals automatically. We do not sell personal information; to opt out of the advertising data flows described above, email contact@claimnotify.org.

Third-Party Services

We use analytics services to understand how our website is used. These services may collect usage and device information such as pages visited and IP address, and may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites. We do not share your identification documents, supporting documents, or claim details with analytics providers. Nevada residents may review and request changes to the information we have collected about them by emailing contact@claimnotify.org; we do not sell covered information as defined by Nevada law.

Children's Privacy

Our services may be used only by adults 18 or older, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to submit a claim. Claim documentation can include information about minors — for example, when property is inherited — and we handle that information only as part of processing the claim. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will post the updated policy on our website with a new effective date, and for material changes we will also notify you directly, for example by email. If a material change would allow us to use personal information we collected from you in ways not described in the policy in effect when we collected it, we will not do so without your consent.
